Limiting warming to 1.5 or 2 degrees still leaves us with a world in which, with each passing year, we have more wildfires, more violent storms, more species loss, more war, more famine and more human suffering until we, if we, reach “net zero” emissions across the planet.

Climate Restoration

Just as we have added greenhouse gasses to our atmosphere, so can we take them out.

Climate restoration seeks a decline in the carbon parts per million down from the saturated 420+ where we are now to around 300, where we were before we started to burn fossil fuels and alter ecosystems on such a large scale.

We have the technology we need to stop burning the vast majority of fossil fuels right now. 

There are also natural solutions that hold potential for rapid carbon removal.

The biggest challenge we face now is the promotion of false solutions:
the misinformation and misdirection of investment desired by industries that require the continuation of harmful systems – while selling a narrative that they are doing their part to fight climate change.  The idea that we can “polish,” not “transform” our way to a better future is simply false.
